The International Blue Cup Regatta

The Annual Passage Race in Greece for Beneteau Yachts First Week of November

Since it was established in 1991, this exciting, annual passage race has grown into an international event attracting entries from all over the world. During the first week of November, both classes of Beneteau yachts, Oceanis and First, race one another from island to island in the Saronic Gulf. Vernicos' entire fleet of Beneteau yachts is available to charter for the Blue Cup, using standard charter yacht equipment, so no specialist knowledge is required. Extras such as Spinnakers are not allowed. Racing is under the low-point scoring system, under the guidance of the Race Committee and all Vernicos technical departments are on hand to ensure smooth running. But the Blue Cup is not just about racing. It is about serious fun! The ever-growing spirit of competition and sportsmanship are mixed with cocktails, dancing and partying at every port of call: Aegina, Epidavros, Poros, Hydra and Porto Heli. Each island visited has a special welcome for you, with receptions, parties and prizes for each day's racing. The highlight is the Grand Prize-Giving Ceremony, with dinner and dancing at the last port of call in Porto Heli, and beside the winning cup, there is a wide range of attractive prizes - so no one goes home empty handed. If the idea of a sailing regatta in November leaves you cold, remember that, this is Greece! There is nothing-quite likes The Blue Cup: it could change your view of yacht racing forever.
